UK Leadership Development Activities
In my role as Director of Student Leadership Development in the Gatton College of Business & Economics, I support and provide strategic leadership for a portfolio of leadership and professional development initiatives serving undergraduate business students. My role includes leadership education (B&E 120), program design and facilitation, student organization and mentoring program advisement, partnership development, and assessment of student learning and engagement.
Areas of Leadership Expertise
My leadership expertise spans student leadership development, career readiness, and applied learning . Some areas of expertise include:
- Leadership identity development and self-awareness
- Strengths-based leadership (Gallup Strengths, Working Genius)
- Personal branding, communication, presence, and professional confidence
- Team dynamics, collaboration, and conflict management
- Inclusive and values-based leadership
- Professional skills development and career readiness (articulating transferable skills, interviewing, networking, etc.)
- Mentoring and coaching (peer mentoring, faculty-alumni-student mentoring models)
