UK Leadership Development Activities
My office oversees the Martin-Gatton Student Leadership Academy, M-G CAFE Ambassador program, M-G CAFE Peer Instructors for AFE 100, and M-G CAFE Peer Mentors (LLP). Two of my staff also serve as advisors for our undergraduate and graduate student councils. A strategic initiative in the college is to create more student leadership opportunities, both breadth and depth. The college also supports the Agricultural Leadership Certificate, which is an undergraduate certificate housed in Agricultural Economics.
Areas of Leadership Expertise
I've served in a number of leadership roles while as an administrator at UK, in my faculty role, and as a student. At one point, I owned my own consulting company. In addition to my doctorate in biosystems and agricultural engineering, I have an MBA and master's in public policy. Helping develop people professionally is a passion of mine.
